Volodymyr Zelensky has approved a new composition of the National Security and Defense Council. A relevant decree is posted on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
According to the decree, the head of the National Security and Defense Council, as required by law, is the President of Ukraine Zelensky. Oleksandr Danylyuk was appointed a secretary of the body.
Also, according to Zelensky’s decree following people became members of the NSDC: Andriy Bohdan (Head of the Presidential Administration), Ivan Bakanov (First Deputy Head of the SBU), Oksana Markarova (Minister of Finance of Ukraine), Ruslan Ryaboshapka (Deputy Head of the PA) and Ruslan Khomchak (Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).
In the same order, the president expelled Oleksandr Turchynov (now the former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council), Viktor Muzhenko (former chief of the General Staff) and Yurii Stets (Minister of Information Policy) from the NSDC. The decree has come into force since its publication.
