In the published video, Odesa residents, including local journalists and civil activists appeal to the newly elected president to conduct an audit of the work of local authorities headed by Hennadii Trukhanov.
“It is time to conduct an audit of Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov, who have raped our city for 5 years and will now try to hide behind parliamentary immunity,” said Mykhailo Kuzakon, activist.
“We are those Odesa citizens who systematically oppose the illegal actions of the Odesa town hall, frankly speaking – gangster authorities, and it was for this and that we and our families were threatened, attacked, they shot us, tried to kill us for this,” said Odesa activist Oleh Mykhailyk, on whom was made an assassination attempt.
Activist Alina Radchenko, who was also attacked, said that civil society expects the newly elected president to take active action in investigating these crimes.
They urged Zelensky to audit in detail the results of the work of local authorities in repairing roads, buildings, land lease, directing funds, etc.
“The city’s authorities don’t tackle elementary housing and communal issues, social protection, infrastructure, and ecology. Only audit will allow evaluating the efficiency of using budget funds,” – they are convinced in Odesa.
