Dmytro Tsenov, police chief of the Kyiv region, filed a report on his resignation in connection with the death of a 5-year-old child injured by police in Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky, reports “Hromadske”.
The head of the National Police Serhiy Knyazev during his communication with journalists near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv said that Dmytro Tsenov asked the governance of the National Police to send him to the front line.
Recall that on May 31, Kyryl Tlyavov with a closed head injury, brain contusion, intracerebral hematoma and a fracture of the temporal bone was taken to the intensive care of the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Central District Hospital. After a bullet wound was found, a child was rushed to Kyiv for emergency treatment. On June 3, the boy died at the hospital.
At the moment, the main version is that the child was accidentally injured by the police officers, who were drinking and shooting near the place where the boy walked. Both suspects were detained.
