The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov declares that he does not intend to resign due to the killing of a 5-year-old child in Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky, Kyiv region. Avakov notes that that it is the Verkhovna Rada that should decide on his resignation.

“I will not submit my resignation, but the question of my resignation can be considered by this parliament, or the next one, or anyone,” media quotes the minister.

Also, Avakov said he does not see the reason for the head of the National Police Serhii Knyazev to step down. “I do not believe that the head of the National Police, Knyazev, should resign, he works well, and he does everything that depends on him,” the head of the MIA said.
