In Odesa, a fire occurred in the building of the regional psychiatric hospital, which resulted in the loss of life. As the State Emergency Service informs, the roof of the hospital building was on fire, as of 23:19 the fire was extinguished.
“Our units rescued 15 people, 4 of them died without regaining consciousness, 6 people that are in a grave condition with signs of poisoning with carbon monoxide were hospitalized, 2 of them have died. Additionally at 4.20 AM On June 11, another person was hospitalized, the condition is stable,” the message reads.
Thus, 6 people have died, another 5 – were hospitalized. Extinguishing the fire involved 57 specialist personnel and 12 units of equipment.
The police reported that information on the violation of the fire safety requirements established by the legislation was submitted to the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman to set up a State Commission on Fire Investigation.
