The representative of the president in Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said about this in an interview to RBC-Ukraine. “If the implementation of this law will require some changes, they will be made. But the conceptual thing for us – the only official language in Ukraine is and will be Ukrainian,” said Stefanchuk.
In an interview, he also noted that there are no major changes in the process of decommunization.
Earlier, it became known that the co-owner of the “Kvartal 95” group, Borys Shefir, as a TV industry worker, expects President Volodymyr Zelensky, his ex-business partner, to abolish of the Language law and to reduce language quotas.
Zelensky himself said that after taking the office, he will carefully analyze the law on the Ukrainian language adopted by the Parliament concerning the observance of the constitutional rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens.
On April 25, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language”.
