Lithuania transferred to Ukraine almost 1,000,000 unused ammunition for civilian firearms with overall cost of 255,500 euros. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.

“The transfer of assets is a consistent and comprehensive part of Lithuania’s support for Ukraine, strengthening its defence capability and ensuring the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state,” said Lithuanian Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis.

The assets transferred by the Lithuanian Armed Forces can be used by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and its subordinate institutions for the defence of the country, participation in regional and collective agreements and activities in accordance with the provisions of the United Nations Charter.
