The head of the UOC-Moscow Patriarchate Onufry and the MP, Chairman of the Opposition Bloc, Vadym Novynskyi, went to Russia, where they met with the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Kirill. The visit of Onufry to Moscow is reported by the site of the Russian Orthodox Church and the site of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra, in which on June 16, the head of the UOC-MP and Patriarch Kirill held a liturgy.

According to the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church, Kirill called the visit of Onufry a  “special pleasure”.

Earlier, Novynskyi claimed that UOC-MP was the only canonical Orthodox Church in Ukraine.

Also, Novynskyi called the war in the Donbas civil conflict and offered to conduct direct negotiations with occupation authorities.
