In Poland, Andrii Syrovatsky, a Ukrainian, was awarded for rescuing people during an accident on the highway near the city of Szczecin on June 9.

An accident involving 7 cars took place on the A6 route in the direction of Swinoujscie. The truck driver, who did not have time to slow down and hit several cars, has become the culprit of the accident. The power of the collision was so great that some cars were set on fire.

Six people have died, 22 were injured. The injured were saved by a driver from Ukraine Andrii Syrovatsky.

According to the Polish media, a man pulled out at least two women and two children from cars.

“There were no windows in one car, the fire was bad. I took a fire extinguisher with one hand, with another one I helped to release a child and, probably, his father,” said Syrovatsky.
