The court has detained for two months without the right to pledge the 22-year-old Mykola Tarasov, who is reasonably suspected of murdering 11-year-old Dasha Lukyanenko, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General Larysa Sarhan reports.
“At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office of Odesa region, he was taken into custody without the right to pledge, he’s suspected of cruel murder of a girl in Ivanovo district.”
Tarasov is suspected in violation of four articles of the Criminal Code: part 2 of Art. 146, part 4 of Art. 152, paragraphs 2 and 10 of part 2 of Art. 115, art. 297 – “abduction”, “attempted rape of a minor”, “minors’ murder combined with rape” and “abuse over the body”.
Local media reports that the suspect fully acknowledged his guilt and agreed with the precautionary measure that were set up. Asked why he had killed Dasha, he replied that he “did not know”. In addition, Tarasov claims that he destroyed the traces of the crime on his own, no one helped him.
In the near future, Tarasov will be sent to forensic psychiatric examination, which should determine whether he could be held responsible for his actions.
