The Central Election Commission rejected the blogger Anatoly Shariy in the registration in early parliamentary elections. This was announced at a meeting of the Central Election Commission on June 24, reports the civil network OPORA.
The refusal to register the CEC explained with the fact that Shariy hasn’t lived permanently in Ukraine during the last 5 years.
Recall that on April 16, the Shevchenko district court of Kyiv abolished the search and extraordinary arrest of Anatoly Shariy and returned the case against him for additional investigation. The case against him was opened on the grounds of the use of firearms during a conflict with the visitor of McDonalds in Kyiv in May 2011.
Shariy was charged under Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. Since 2012, the blogger is in Lithuania. Previously, blogger Shariy, known for his pro-Russian statements, announced the creation of his own party.
