US President Donald Trump completed his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 Summit in Osaka.
“Both of them agreed that improving relations was in the mutual interests and interests of the world, they also discussed the situation in Iran, Syria, Venezuela, and Ukraine,” the White House said.
At the beginning of the meeting, the US president said that it was a great honor for him to meet with the Russian president, and representatives of both countries should discuss a lot of issues: trade, disarmament, and protectionism.
“We are going to discuss a lot of different topics. We had a good meeting, very good relations, and we expect to use this time together.” A lot of positive things should happen in the relationship,” Trump said.
Putin has said that he can not but agree with Trump, because “we have something to talk about.” “All the topics have been defined. We have not seen it for a long time, indeed, since the meeting in Helsinki, but our employees have worked, so they gave us a good opportunity to continue what we agreed on,” Putin said.
Journalists asked Trump whether they spoke with Putin about captured Ukrainian ships and seamen. “We did not discuss this,” said the American president.
