“Opposition platform – For Life” party denounced obstruction of the placement of political campaign materials of their candidates. This is stated in an official statement on the party’s site.
According to representatives of the platform “For Life”, which include, in particular, Yuriy Boyko and Putin’s friend Viktor Medvedchuk, in virtually all Ukrainian cities, local authorities block external advertisers placing campaign boards for the party and individual candidates. Among the cities mentioned in the statement are Odesa, Kryvyi Rih, Mariupol and Pokrovsk, which is in the Donetsk region.
“Local authorities don’t care about the fact that this is a direct violation of the electoral law. Any means and methods are being used – from the total ban on placing and direct calls to the operator to the involvement of law enforcement agencies,” the party alleged.
The political force is convinced that the reason is allegedly a high level of public confidence in the party and high ratings of its leaders. In addition, the statement also emphasizes that such actions are unlawful and can lead to the criminal liability of those who impede official campaigning.
