On July 1, the International Foundations of Medicine examination (IFOM) for third-year medical students began. During July 1-3, 12 877 beginners must take it.
IFOM has 160 questions that examine the level of professional competence of the fundamental disciplines that students study during the first three years. You can only pass the exam again once in August 2019, at your own expense. If the second attempt fails a student will be expelled.
However, some students and parents are indignant at the innovations. Many are concerned that the exam cannot be passed. Several times the beginners came under the walls of the Ministry of Health and arranged various actions.
