The Central Election Commission has registered former head of Yanukovych’s Presidential Administration Andriy Klyuyev and a pro-Russian blogger Anatoliy Shariy as candidates for MPs.
Andrii Klyuyev was registered as a candidate for the majority district № 46 in the Donetsk region from the “Liberal Party of Ukraine”. The CEC took such a decision by a majority vote in order to comply with the Supreme Court’s decision.
Recall, Klyuyev is on a national wanted list at the request of the Security Service. He was charged with the appropriation of property, excess of power and unlawful interference with rallies. The date of his disappearance is February 28, 2014.
Also, the Central Election Commission registered the blogger Anatoliy Shariy for MP, who had previously refused registration. Shariy is the first number in the list of “Shariy’s Party”.
He is being searched by the police because of a suspiciously false report of a crime. According to information provided on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, law enforcement officers believe that he had disappeared on February 7, 2012. Shariy and Klyuyev, according to the court’s decision, must be arrested.
