The Central Election Commission canceled the registration of candidates for deputies of the ex-head of the Administration of the President of Viktor Yanukovych Andriy Klyuyev and pro-Russian blogger Anatoly Shariу. This was announced by Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy.
“After my morning public appeal to law enforcement agencies, they still provided documents that allowed the CEC to cancel the registration of Klyuyev and Shariy. Thank you the Ukrainians who protested on Maidan,” said Parubiy.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine sent documents to the Central Election Commission stating that Shariy had not been in Ukraine since 2012, and Klyuyeva – since 2014. In addition, the GPU sent the CEC additional documents on Andriy Klyuyev, and the Interior Ministry promised to detain him if he crosses the border.
