If the inhabitants of the Donbas after de-occupation ask to give them the opportunity to use Russian in certain legal relations with the state, they will most likely receive such a right. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, responding to journalists’ questions.
“I think we will end the war once… And giving people the opportunity to speak Russian in Donetsk… And what’s the problem with that? There is no problem at all. I think you understand, you can speak Russian. I am the president and I speak with you as I wish. If there will be a special request from the Donetsk residents, for example, to fill in documents in Russian, I do not see any problems in this,” Zelensky noted.
