The Commercial Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region opened the proceedings and started the consideration of the case of collecting recovery from the former owner of PrivatBank Ihor Kolomoyskyi 4.86 billion UAH under bail-outs. This is reported by the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine.
In particular, it considers 4 bail-outs given by Kolomoisky for refinancing loans that the National Bank provided to PrivatBank on the eve of nationalization.
National Bank has already appealed to this court for collecting these funds from the Kolomoуsky but back then they refused to open the proceedings due to the fact that the permanent residence of Kolomoуskyi was Geneva. After that, the National Bank requested the collection of these funds in the Geneva court. At the same time, the National Bank disputed the refusal to open proceedings in Ukrainian courts.
A preparatory meeting in the Ukrainian court on collecting funds from Kolomoisky was scheduled for July 11, 2019.
“The National Bank is expecting the preparatory meetings of the court to consider the cases already in August 2019 and it will continue to take the legal measures necessary to recover the debt on refinancing loans,” said Viktor Hryhorchuk, Head of the Department of Claims and Cases of the Legal Department of the National Bank.
