The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova met with Russian Ombudswoman Tatyana Moskalkova in Kyiv. They are discussing the release of Ukrainian political prisoners who are illegally detained in Russia and annexed Crimea, and Russians held in Ukraine.
“A meeting with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova began in the framework her visit to Kyiv. We will discuss the issue of the release of Ukrainian citizens who are detained in the territory of Russia and the occupied Crimea, as well as Russian citizens that are detained in Ukraine. Also, we will consider the possibility of solving humanitarian issues regarding the provision of medical or other assistance to certain citizens who are being kept in prisons. We will talk about our further cooperation,” Denisova said.
