Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Vadym Prystayko announced a preliminary agreement with Russia on the prisoners’ exchange. According to Prystayko, the relevant agreement was reached at the meeting of the foreign policy advisers to the heads of the countries of the Normandy contact group.
“Over the months we have agreed to exchange a certain number of captives. President Zelensky spoke about 10 to 10, 15 to 15. In principle, we are not fixated around this particular number of people. Now, our task is to turn our people back and unblock the exchange format of “everyone for everyone”, he said.
Prystayko announced the new meeting of advisers to the leaders of the Normandy contact group in late August. An evaluation of the implementation of the agreements reached on July 12 should take place on it.
