The volume of state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine, as of June 2019, increased by 2.5% to $80.35 billion. This is stated by the website of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
It is noted that during the month the growth of government debt in dollar terms was almost 2 billion dollars. At the same time, due to the fall in the exchange rate, the volume of government debt in the hryvnia equivalent, on the contrary, decreased by 0.2% – to 2.1 trillion hryvnias.
With 80.35 billion dollars debt, $70 billion is a direct public debt, the remaining 10.3 billion is a debt that the state guarantees to public and private companies.
