The candidate for MP from the Servant of the People party, the host of the “Money” telecast on the 1+1 TV channel, Oleksandr Dubinsky, said that in the future parliament he and several other MPs would create a deputy group.
“We have decided to set up a new parliamentary group of a simple majority called Justice. We are already five people. Join us,” Dubinsky said on Instagram. He signed a photo from Truskavets, which also includes the “servants”: blogger Oleksandr Kunytsky, who won Oleksandr Hranovsky and journalist of 1+1 TV channel Olha Vasylevska-Smaglyuk in the elections.
In a comment to Ukrainska Pravda, Vasylevska-Smaglyuk stated that she “participates only in the creation of an informal deputy association of the simple majority of the Kyiv region.” “I’m not joining other groups,” she said.
Another candidate of the group may be the candidate from the Servant of the People Maksym Buzhansky, who won at the 25th constituency in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
It should be noted that the Verkhovna Rada’s regulation does not provide for the formation of deputy groups within the same faction. Such groups can create extra-fractional people’s deputies.
“Non-factional MPs may be members of parliamentary factions or may join a parliamentary group of MPs,” the regulation said.
It also provides that a registered deputy group has the rights of a deputy faction.
