Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated that during the parliamentary campaign the police were working against his party European Solidarity. MP Arsen Avakov has accused the fifth president of slander.

“Can I say that there was a job against us? It was. Police were working against us. The work was carried out by organized groups, like Shariy’s, organized from within the country,” Poroshenko argues.

Avakov reacted to this saying that “Poroshenko is lying unscrupulously, justifying his defeat in the elections by the fact that police acted against him.”

“The police, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs, did not work against him, but worked for fair elections, for Ukraine. Unfortunately, Poroshenko is a liar, therefore, he lost,” the MP said.
