President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a telephone conversation and invited each other to visit their countries.
Lukashenko congratulated Zelensky on successful political campaigns, and Zelensky once again invited Lukashenko to visit Ukraine. Lukashenko accepted the invitation and invited Zelensky to visit Belarus “anytime, in any format”.
“The issues of economic cooperation and trade, in particular, the development of cooperation in the field of industry and agriculture, were discussed in a separate complex during the conversation,” the message says.
Zelensky also told Lukashenko in detail about the situation in the Donbas region and thanked for the organization of the negotiating platform and for the role Belarus plays in the settlement of the conflict in general.
Lukashenko assured Zelensky that Ukraine can count on Belarus as a country that favors peaceful initiatives and processes. Who initiated the call is not reported.
