President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that cooperation of Ukraine and Turkey to force Russia to respect international law will be able to change the situation in the Black Sea region for the better.

“I am convinced that by joint actions of Ukraine and Turkey we will change the situation in the Black Sea region and the Crimea in our favour,” Zelensky said at a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday in Ankara.

“Together we will surely find a way that will make Russia respect international law, restore peace and stability in the region, protect the rights and freedoms of Crimean Tatars, and release political prisoners,” Zelensky added.
