This decision was made at a meeting of the preparatory group of newly elected MPs on August 9.
It was Dmytro Razumkov, the chairman of the meeting, the chairman of the Servant of the People party, who introduced this proposal on August 29.
European Solidarity representative Artur Herasymov suggested holding the first meeting on September 3, while Serhiy Levochkin from the Opposition Platform – For Life spoke for August 20.
Razumkov put all the proposals to the vote in the order they were received.
The date of August 29 was supported by the majority of those present.
“Five people abstained. The decision was made. The solemn meeting will take place on August 29,” Razumkov said.
