The government has approved a plan of activities to prepare and celebrate the 28th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. According to a government portal, the measures were developed by the Ministry of Culture to implement the presidential decree.
“There will be laying flowers to monuments, memorial signs and burial places of prominent figures of the Ukrainian state-making, fighters for independence of Ukraine, killed members of the Revolution of Dignity, participants of the anti-terrorist operation,” said in the message.
According to the report, festive events will be held all over the country with the participation of representatives of authorities, representatives of foreign countries, international organizations, clergy, and the public.
We will remind, by the decree of July 11, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Government to “develop, approve and ensure the implementation of the plan of measures to commemorate the 28th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence”. The President’s Office reported that there would be no military parade on August 24.
