The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has closed criminal proceedings on the possible misappropriation of state funds by president Volodymyr Zelensky’s Kinokvartal because they did not find any crime in the actions of employees of the State Film Agency.

NABU detectives opened proceedings in April this year according to a statement by the Union of Volunteers that State Film Agency financed 49% of the film budget of Zelensky’s film company called “I, you, he, she”.

The Union of Volunteers stated that the condition for financing was to create the film entirely in Ukrainian but Zelensky’s company did not fulfil this condition and, therefore, allowed the loss of state funds.
