The newly elected MPs decided to invite all the previous Heads of parliament to the first parliamentary session. In particular, they will invite former parliament speaker Volodymyr Rybak, who worked under the Yanukovych regime.
Nestor Shufrych, an elected deputy from the Opposition Platform for Life, took the initiative.
When this question was put to the vote, the majority of elected deputies supported the invitation, only the representatives of the European Solidarity – Iryna Herashchenko and Artur Herasymov – voted against.
“We invite all the Heads of the Verkhovna Rada who reside on the territory of the state. Therefore, I think, after all, all Heads of the Verkhovna Rada should have respect from future MPs. This is my personal position,” said Dmytro Razumkov the head of the presidential faction Servant of the People.
