The leader of the party Servant of the People Dmytro Razumkov became the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th Convocation. The corresponding decision was made at the first session of the new parliament, 382 MPs voted for it.
During his speech before the vote, Razumkov said the main tasks for the new parliament are three main directions.
The first area is the reform of the institutions of power, first of all, the Councils, the second – the removal of power from corruption practices, excessive bureaucracy and regulation, and the third – the launch of mechanisms of rapid economic growth. The goal of the new government, he said, is for the Ukrainian economy to grow from 5 to 7% a year since 2020.
