President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to permit the exhumation of bodies in Polish graves in Ukraine.
“I am ready to unlock the permits for carrying out search works in Ukraine… We have agreed to restart a working group that will work under the auspices of both presidents so that all the blind spots of the past do not prevent our peoples from building a common bright future,” Zelensky assured.
Polish President Andrzej Duda, for his part, said that Zelensky had promised him to exhume the burials.
“I requested that the moratorium imposed by the previous government be lifted. The president said the new government was in the process of being formed and promised that the issue would be resolved. This element is fundamental to the Poles, as it is a tribute to those closest to them,” Duda said.
