The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine said that they expect the new program which the government plans to conclude with the International Monetary Fund, should be the last. This was announced by Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova.
In particular, the Minister noted that this time Ukraine plans to fulfill all IMF conditions which will strengthen the economy and reduce the need for international lenders.
“Execute the program so that the economy is at a stage of development when we do not need the assistance of a lender. And we can really live on our own,” Markarova added.
The IMF mission is due to arrive in Ukraine on September 10. It should then start negotiations on a new cooperation program.
Earlier in the National Bank, it was reported that the new program of cooperation with the IMF will be up to 4 years, and its funding will be up to $10 billion.
