Kyiv Court of Appeal ruled on the release of Vladimir Tsemakh, a Russian mercenary, suspected of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing MH17 in Donbas in July 2014.
Kyiv Court has released from remand an ex-militant of the “DPR” terrorist organization, who is suspected in the crash of Malaysian Boeing MH17 by Russian mercenaries. According to the lawyer of Vladimir Tsemakh, the former mercenary was released under personal obligation.
Shortly before that, MEPs appealed to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a request not to extradite Tsemakh to Moscow within a prisoner exchange framework. As stated in a statement signed by 40 parliamentarians, the ex-combatant is a key witness in the investigation into the crash of the MH17 flight and at the same time is suspected of involvement in the catastrophe, so European investigators want to question him.
